A Quick Chat with Indigo Blaze

How did ‘CRITICAL HIT’ evolve from the initial idea, into the final release during the production process?

Big Levi slaves away in his sweatbox concocting our tunes initially. The idea was to encapsulate our live energy into a song that you could turn up in your car or at work. Once we got into the studio with Temp, everything was geared to this. Whether it be the huge guitar tones, massive wah pedal on the bass, or tweaking the killer drum rolls, it all came together to build the wall of noise on this one!

What do you feel is the coolest part of an Indigo Blaze performance?

With all-out raw energy, we’re definitely not about standing still on stage, and we’ve heard it’s hard not to get swept up in the infectious energy!

If you could play at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

We always have a laugh about it being Wembley Stadium in London, but maybe the Underworld in Camden Town would be a start. A historic alternative rock venue in central London, would be unreal to get those famous walls shaking.

What’s the biggest challenge or setback the band has overcome so far?

COVID was obviously a tough period for all artists but it also made us get very creative with some videos and releases. We are currently balancing some tough work schedules across the crew which can make booking shows a challenge but planning out the year in advance accordingly has also been a huge help.

Are there any future releases Indigo Blaze has slated for the year?

Well, seeing as you asked, we knocked out a solid block in the studio late last year, with Critical Hit being the third single from those sessions. We have a couple more ready to roll, but Levi has been in his dungeon pumping out some huge tunes recently, so we'll be back in the studio this year to put together a full EP!
