THE KITE STRING TANGLE RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE 'SELFISH'

+ LAUNCHES OWN LABEL
EXIST. RECORDINGS

+ ANNOUNCES FIRST LABEL SIGNINGS

Triple threat electronic producer, vocalist and songwriter, The Kite String Tangle today returns with new single, Selfish’.  The offering comes with the exciting news that the ARIA nominated artist has launched independent record label Exist. Recordings in collaboration with industry heavyweights UNIFIED, announcing break out producer Golden Vessel and Gold Coast siblings LASTLINGS as the first names on the roster.

The moniker of Brisbane’s Danny Harley, The Kite String Tangle reinforces his talents with dense beats and emotive vocals on Selfish, showing the progression of arguably one of Australia’s most talented names in emotive electronic music. The track represents a turning point for Harley as he “realised that I wasn’t thinking about the people I love nearly as much as I should. It’s hard to admit you’re at fault but it’s also a good habit to get into if you’re wanting to be a reasonable human.”  It was produced, written and performed by Harley before being mixed by Grammy Award winning engineer Eric J Dubowsky.

Born from Harley’s vision to launch an independent record label, Exist. Recordings was created to release carefully curated music from gifted artists. Intrigued by delicate shades of electronic music infused with pop sensibilities, an increasingly popular genre in Australia, the label is backed by UNIFIED, proving it is an exciting new venture to watch. Exist. Recordings had their first release with Golden Vessel’s 2016 single 'VInes'.

Exist. is a great outlet for my own projects but it’s main focus is to sign other acts and develop their music, talent and careers. Having Golden Vessel and LASTLINGS as the first two acts on the label is huge for me,” says Harley.

“Max (Golden Vessel) is a production and songwriting prodigy and writes with a maturity well beyond his age. It won’t be long before people start cottoning on to that. LASTLINGS have an unobtainable quality about them, they’re playing in a league of their own and are totally untouchable.”
