MELBOURNE PRODUCER AIRWOLF RELEASES ‘THE WAY IT IS’ + KICKS OFF AUSTRALIAN TOUR THIS WEEKEND

Justin Erougian, aka Australian DJ, producer and artist Airwolf, has had a hell of a run the last nine months. From heavyweight DJ support from his idols DJ Zinc, MJ Cole and Sinden, to radio support on BBC Radio 1 with Diplo & Friends and Annie Nightingale and Beats 1 support from Anna Lunoe, plus having one of his tracks feature on the upcoming PlayStation 4 game Wipeout Omega Collection alongside Boys Noize and Noisia. It’s all well deserved for the hardworking Melbourne producer who’s carving out a notable legacy in the Australian dance music scene.

Now enters ‘The Way It Is’, an absolute banger which sees Airwolf ramp up his club and radio aspirations with slack hats, a moody ‘90s piano and slamming garage bassline. Featuring the voice of Danish R&B singer Stine Kinck, aka Kinck, ‘The Way It Is’ hits hard and wouldn’t be out of place in a DJ set from Disclosure, DJ Zinc, Shiba San or the like. This is Airwolf and that’s just The Way It Is.

Without compromise for such a single, welcomed to the remix package is DIRTYBIRD’s Kyle Waton, LA’s NuKid, and Night Bass’ bassline production duo Hotfire

As an artist, Justin Erougian is also a highly regarded lifestyle photographer under the guise Airwolf Paradise, having shot for an array of international and domestic musicians including All Day, RÜFÜS, Disclosure, T.E.E.D, Booka Shade and Fatboy Slim.  In addition to his alter ego life behind the lens, Justin is also a budding cinematographer and shot, produced and directed the video for ‘The Way It Is’ starring his own grandparents. Watch this space for the video premiere.

Airwolf will be hitting the road in support of ‘The Way It Is’, kicking off with a set at the infamous Chinese Laundry in Sydney this Saturday, 25th February. Check him out on the below dates.
