Gus Dingwall is a producer and vocalist from Melbourne, inspired by the likes of Nick Murphy, Kaytranada and Flying Lotus. From a young age, Gus Dingwall learnt the piano and sang for his family and friends. At age 14 he focused his skills towards a production career after picking up an Ableton trial CD included in a Flume LP. In 2016, French producer MΓΈme enlisted Dingwall to feature on his song βMedicineβ.
Now 18, Gus Dingwall will release his debut singleβDowntownβ combining elements of R&B, soul and alternative electronica. βDowntownβ is about βthe times when youβre caught thinking over and over about somebody, and wanting to be close to them more than anything in the worldβexplains Gus. The track swells as it moves along, blending washing synth layers with Dingwallβs soulful vocals.
