How are you? What’s been keeping you busy?
I’m good, making music as well as my uni studies have been some of the ways I’ve spent most of my time.
Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the songwriting bug?
I wouldn’t say it's something I’ve always wanted but definitely something I’ve always found interesting and had a passion for since I was 9. I’ve been writing songs since I was 9 but I’ve only in the past year began putting the effort to finish and perfect each song.
What’s your writing process like?
Sometimes I might hear a dope beat and freestyle to it or find a melody and then work from there. Lately though and as for the songs I’ve released they have been freestyle's and me punching in bar for bar.
What’s the inspiration behind your single ‘Test’?
The song is inspired by multiple points in my life where I’ve faced heartbreak and disappointment only to come out stronger and better because of it.
What’s the message you wish to send with your music?
Inspiration, peace and to offer an experience that motivates my listener, As long as I can offer a new perspective some people can relate to I’ll feel accomplished.
If you could write a song for any musician, Alive or Dead, who would it be and why?
Akon, I feel like a lot of emotion he shared in his music is relatable to experiences and feelings I’ve endured so it would feel natural to say him.
Which artists/musicians did you listen to growing up?
A lot across different generations for example, Lil Wayne, 2pac, Drake,Chris Brown, Lil Durk, Young Thug, Rick Ross, 50 cent, Jay Z, Akon, Kanye West, Kevin Gates, Kodak Black, The GAME, Lil Baby and so on.
What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
To thine own self be true, and that it's cheaper to be yourself
What are your long term dreams as a musician?
To be the best artist I can be, being versatile, making a lot of growth in my ability to make songs. Ultimately if I can create a better life for my family and I from music I’ll feel accomplished.
