Following the success of her last single 'Check It', emerging Perth-based producer and DJ Tina Says is back in the game with hot new track 'Sweat'. Premiering online this week on Life Without Andy, 'Sweat' is due for official release Thursday April 13.
Filled with Mediterranean musical influences and electro-house roots, ‘Sweat’ is a peppery late night banger that brings to mind images of dusty market bazaars and the smell of burning incense, combined with a relentless, driving beat.
Tina Says: "Growing up with a very Greek Dad, I'd always liked the idea of experimenting with musical elements from the Mediterranean, a really strong concept came together in the percussion and strings which formed the basis of Sweat which the rest of the track ended up being built around to create something I hope produces the same kind of visuals and sensory triggers in other people that it does for me."
Alongside playing Hot Dub Wine Machine last weekend, Tina Says is racking up a list of accomplishments, including playing at Splendour In The Grass 2016, producing the official remix of KLPs' 'Air', and DJing a triple j Mix Up set during Aus Music Month last year.
'Sweat' is released independently Thursday April 13. Expect to see Tina Says live in major cities over the coming months.
