ANNOUNCES LIVE AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES
Melbourne based producer, Roland Tings today shares his new single titled "Higher Ground", taken from his forthcoming EP Each Moment A Diamond, set for release on Tuesday 7 February. "Higher Ground" is effortless as it is blissful, featuring dream-like buttery vocals from US singer Nylo and boast themes of summer, sunshine and ecstasy. To celebrate the release of “Higher Ground” & his upcoming EP, Tings will embark on a live national tour across Australia in a new two-piece format debuted at Laneway Festival and on support for RUFUS, before heading back to the US for a mammoth tour (dates to be announced shortly).
Tings has come a long way from his once elusive bedroom producer status, gaining the attention of dance music fans and industry alike. Among the first of his fans was LA based tastemaker label 100% Silk, through which he released his debut EP Milky Way. He then spent the following years touring the U.S, Australia & Asia extensively, supporting the likes of Chet Faker, Factory Floor, Optimo & Juan Atkins as well as remixing artists like Seekae & Banoffee, all the while laying the foundations of his inimitable, raw aesthetic.
After releasing “Devotion” (#2 on inthemix’s Top 100 Tracks of 2015) and his debut, self-titled album (triple j feature album) in 2015, Tings followed up with “Hedonist” and "Eyes Closed" last year. 2016 also saw Tings tour extensively through North America and Canada with Chrome Sparks and RUFUS. He’s since arrived back in Australia to head out on the Laneway Festival run, the RUFUS regional tour as well as his own headline shows in celebration of his forthcoming EP.
