Some bands ease you in. Regurgitator just slap you in the face from the first note, and Torquay absolutely copped it.

The Gurge rolled in and did exactly what you want them to do on a Saturday night: blow the doors off the joint and make everyone smile like idiots. They ripped through all the favourites. I Sucked a Lot of Cock to Get Where I Am, Fat Cop, Everyday Formula, Kong Foo Sing, Polyester Girl. One after another, no fuss, no filler, just straight up bangers. Proper nostalgia hit mixed with that unhinged energy only they can get away with.

The room was packed, the vibe was electric, everyone was up for it, and the sing-alongs were loud from the first minute to the last. Heavy riffs, big hooks, zero ego. Just veterans doing what they do best.

One of those nights where you walk out sweaty, buzzing, borderline deaf, and reminded exactly why live music still hits harder than anything else.
