REVIEW: Killing Heidi - Northcote Theatre

Last night, Northcote Theatre was transported straight back to the year 2000 as Killing Heidi took the stage to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their iconic debut album Reflector. The sold out crowd, many of whom no doubt wore out their CD copies back in the day, were treated to the album played in full, front to back, no skips.
They opened with a one-two punch that set the tone for the night: Mascara and Weir. It was a cathartic release — a sea of voices shouting every lyric back at Ella Hooper, who hasn't lost a step.
After closing out Reflector in full, the band left the stage briefly before returning for a nostalgic encore that pushed the energy even higher. Calm Down and Heavensent had the room bouncing again, and I Am sealed the night with a full-circle moment. Reflective, fierce, and full of love for the fans who’ve grown up with them.
