Dustin Tebbutt shares new single 'Atlas In Your Eye'

Having just returned from his sold-out UK and European Winter Tour, Dustin Tebbutt has announced the release of his new single, 'Atlas In Your Eye’. Dustin wrote the beautifully crafted song for the final scene end titles of Australian feature film, Jasper Jones - a movie adapted from the award-winning iconic Australian novel by Craig Silvery and in cinemas now.

Dustin says: “It was such an honour to work on this project, as the team involved are really incredible. When I was asked to come in and see the film and perhaps try to write a song for the closing scene, it really struck a chord with me."

“As I was driving home after the screening, the chorus came into my head. There was just so much in the story to pull from, that the rest came pretty quickly after that. I was also trying to capture the essence of some of the folk music of the 60's in which the film was set, and also balance the light and dark that is woven throughout the novel.”

Jasper Jones was directed by Rachel Perkins (Brand Nue Dae, Radiance), produced by Vincent Sheehan (Animal Kingdom, The Hunter) and David Jowsey (Mystery Road) and features a stellar cast including Toni Collette, Hugo Weaving, Angourie Rice and Levi Miller.

‘Atlas In Your Eye’ is Dustin’s first stand-alone release since his debut LP First Light - an album that landed in the top 15 of the ARIA charts, and saw his Spotify fanbase continue to rise with 1.85 million monthly streamers, along with amassing 8.1 million listeners in total who have streamed 270 years worth of his music over the last 12 months. Last year Dustin Tebbutt sold out multiple headline dates in Sydney and Melbourne during his First Light Album Tour and played regional shows across the country.

‘Atlas In Your Eye’ is out this Friday 10 March.
