PREMIERE: Coast and Ocean – “Lindsay Lohan”
After touring all over the world off the back of his second EP “Doobies Girl”, New South Wales artist Coast & Ocean (Alex Johnson) is set to release his anticipated new single “Lindsay Lohan”.
Having been influenced and compared to such artists as Ed Sheeran and Dub FX, the track combines Coast and Ocean’s signature self–described “Poetic Surf Hip Hop” sound with gloomy dark trap production from Sydney artist DeliPres. The track reveals a vulnerable side to the artist – who opens up about his struggles on tour with relationships, isolation and lack of connection while on the road.
“It’s about the highs and lows of tour life, with a self reflection of an artists isolation and narcissistic chase for happiness while feeling as low as a Lindsay Lohan come down.”
2017 has been a massive year for Coast and Ocean, sharing stages with notable Australian artists Lyall Moloney, Caravana Sun and Ziggy Alberts while touring around Europe and Asia including shows and festivals in Italy, The Netherlands Cambodia and Thailand.
Having recently returned home to tour Australia; you can catch Coast and Ocean throughout October, November and December playing his final shows of 2017, while being on the look out for the upcoming “Lindsay Lohan” video early in 2018.
“Lindsay Lohan” will be available on all platforms November 28.
