A Quick Chat with Sunday Honey
Congrats on the release of your sophomore EP! Can you tell us a bit more about the EP’s themes / meaning?
‘How’s That For Love’ follows themes of love stories to summer day car drives. It’s really a mixture of tunes that have coalesced into a single music drop. Each song represents a different time and feeling in our writing experience, from relationship flings, fictional storytelling, buying a cheap convertible car, and an existential ponder on love. Though the songs follow different themes, all together we think they work well in the EP.
How did Sunday Honey form?
CJ sent Elliott a dm on Instagram asking if he’d be keen on being the singer in a new band. He then asked Fox to play drums and Max to play bass and here we are!!
What’s your favourite show you’ve played so far?
There’s a few! Coastal Jam (with Hockey Dad and The Terrys) was sick back in 2023, but the run of shows we’ve just done with Pacific Avenue were unreal! Awesome experience and it was great getting to know such a great bunch of lads!
