A Quick Chat with Le She
How has your multicultural heritage from Guinea, Jamaica and France influenced your music, particularly in your latest single?
My multicultural heritage is the backbone of my music. Guinea gave me rhythm, spirituality, and storytelling. Jamaica brought the groove, confidence, and raw energy. France shaped my sense of melody, structure, and openness to cultures.
In my latest single, all these influences come together naturally. You hear the African pulse, the Caribbean bounce, and a European touch in the production. I don’t force it — it’s simply who I am.
Can you share the story behind the creation of 'Just Little Longer'? What inspired you to write this song and what message do you hope to convey through it?
'Just Little Longer' was written during a moment of vulnerability. Life was moving fast, but the things that mattered most needed patience.
The song speaks about slowing down, protecting love, trusting the process, and understanding that what’s meant for you doesn’t need to be rushed.
If Le She’s music could be the soundtrack to any film or TV series, which one would you choose and why? How would your sound complement the visuals?
I’d choose stories like Top Boy, Queen & Slim, or Insecure — projects rooted in real emotion and strong visual identity.
My music fills the spaces between dialogue, adding mood, tension, warmth, and depth. It becomes part of the atmosphere rather than background sound.
Collaborating with various artists and producers has been a part of your journey. How do these collaborations impact your sound and creative process, particularly for 'Just Little Longer'?
Collaboration helps me grow while staying true to my identity. For 'Just Little Longer', the focus was sensitivity and space.
Working with others refined the emotion and protected the honesty of the song without overproduction.
As an artist who has overcome challenges, how do you use your platform to inspire and connect with listeners who may be facing their own struggles?
I choose honesty over perfection. My music is a safe space for people navigating uncertainty, pressure, or healing.
If my music helps someone feel understood or keep going a little longer, then I know my platform has purpose.
