This is beautiful and distinct” - Richard Kingsmill

We aren’t one to toot our own horn too often, however there are those moments when you hear something truly special that makes you really appreciate why you got into music in the first place. The productions of Sydney’s Northern Beaches beatmaker MUTO are the exact reminder of this.

His current instrumental rollercoaster of a single Through The Fog has garnered massive support from triple j (2nd Most played track of the week) championed by Kingsmill, Dom, Zan and the Unearthed team, on top of consistent rotation on FBi, George FM, Syn and a plethora of community radio. Add to this a sold out debut headline show and adoration from some of the industries heavyweights like Flume and Odesza who have labeled him the next big thing in electronic music and blogs like InTheMix, Stoney Roads and Pilerats all giving him the 'One To Watch' seal of approval – it’s been impossible to ignore MUTO’s past few months. However it is now time for the World to take note.

MUTO is set for a wild ride this year with his new release Wildfire (ft. Deutsch Duke). An emotionally driven, electronic adventure, Wildfire shows off MUTO’s cultivated production skills which flourish amoungst the company of Deutsch Duke’s hypnotic vocal. Written shortly after losing one of his closest friends, his step-father, MUTO found common ground with Deutsch Duke who related personally to the motivation behind the track. The personal significance of Wildfire shows evidently, with raw energy and affection, yearning throughout the soulful electronica piece. Summed up best by the artist behind it, “Wildfire is inspired by the longing and loss of a loved one but beyond that, it’s about that person living within you and driving you to see the light at the end of the tunnel” – MUTO.

In support of the release, MUTO will be embarking on his first national tour this March/April.
