REVIEW: Kisschasy - The Forum, Melbourne

Written by: Lachlan Bradford

Kisschasy at The Forum felt like a big warm hug from 2007. Playing Hymns for the Non Believer front to back, the band reminded everyone exactly why that album still hits so hard.

From the opening notes, it was clear the crowd came ready to sing—and didn’t stop all night. “Opinions Won’t Keep You Warm at Night,” “Spray on Pants,” and “My Bible is a Scrapbook” all landed as huge moments. Every lyric shouted back.

The band didn’t just rely on nostalgia, though. New track “Lie To Me” slotted into the set like it had always been there. Sounded massive live. Confident, catchy, and a reminder that they’ve still got more to say.

They came back out for the encore and opened up with “Dinosaur” and it nearly took the roof off. Crowd in full singalong mode. Pure energy.

The Forum always makes a gig feel a little more special and this one felt like a celebration. For the band, for the fans, and for an album that still holds weight.

No overthinking. No messing around. Just a great band doing what they do best.
