LANKS RELEASES LIVE VIDEO FOR ‘COMFORTABLE’
Following the announcement of his national tour this August, today, multi-instrumentalist LANKS returns with the accompanying live video for new single ‘Comfortable.’ A stunning and vulnerable portrayal of LANKS live in action, the piece is filmed and edited by cinematographer Justin Carrig. Recorded live at the Hawthorn Arts Centre in Melbourne earlier this year and showcasing the town hall's Steinway full grand piano, the video for ‘Comfortable’ features flawless audio recorded and mixed by Glen Nichol and Chris Rogers.
The visuals join the news Sydney indie-pop artist, ELKI and singer/producer, Mark Harding will support LANKS at Leadbelly, Newtown on Saturday August 19th. Transporting his charming live show to Brisbane on August 25th, he will be joined by electronic indie-rock outfit, Machine Age, and local songstress Inigo. LANKS live show will then take him to hometown Melbourne with Javena and Saatsuma before wrapping up in Perth with local singer-songwriter, Teischa.
A deeply moving piece, ‘Comfortable’ was written through the perspective of a close friend who works within the mental health industry. Thetrack follows 2016 EP Viet Rose, which featured breakout singles ‘Bitter Leaf’ and ‘Holla,’ both topped Hype Machine charts and together accumulated over 2.5 million Spotify streams.
Hailed as one of the country’s most exciting new talents, his touring exploits with acts such as RÜFÜS, Vera Blue, Glass Animals, and Toro y Moi have seen LANKS loyal fan-base grow exponentially. There is no doubt that 2017 will continue to see this exceptional rising talent take over.
