KUREN RETURNS WITH ‘MON AMOUR’ FT. AUSTEN

After 2016 saw him perform onstage at the National Indigenous Music Awards, snag a J Award nomination for Unearthed Artist Of The Year and set out on his debut Australian club tour, today rising star and break out producer Kuren shows no sign of slowing down.  Returning with new single 'Mon Amourfeaturing one of Brisbane’s brightest newcomers, AUSTEN, this emotionally charged track marks a brilliant evolution in Kuren’s work and joins the announcement he’ll be hitting the road as main support for Perth electronic duo Slumberjack this May.

Harnessing the talents of vocalist AUSTEN, who topped numerous ‘2017 Ones To Watch’ lists after releasing debut singles ‘Faded’ and ‘Darkside,’ the pair explain thatMon Amour’ is dedicated to those late nights consumed with heartbreak. Kuren says of the track “I've been working on refining my skills steadily over the past 3 years and I feel Mon Amour is a great evolution of my sound.”  The new single follows last year’s release of sophomore EP Tesseract, which featured the anthemic Home ft. Ben Alessi which dominated national radio and put Kuren on the map as one of the country’s most promising new artists.

After acquiring an obsession for music production through a YouTube tutorial and a free trial of FL studio, Kuren was pitted as one of Triple J Unearthed’s 2015 ‘5 New Indigenous Artists You Need To Hear’. In 2016 he rose to the occasion, named winner of the annual triple j Unearthed NIMAs Competition and setting out on his debut Australian club tour as well as a huge support slot for Just A Gent.  Kuren finished the year adding his emotive sounds to Walkely Award Winning SBS documentary, My Grandmothers Lingo before rounding out a monumental 2016 at Southbound festival in Perth. Now, at the tender age of 19 years old, there is no ceiling to what accolades lie ahead.
