JUMBO MAVIS ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE EVERYTHING COMES AROUND + DEBUT EP BIG MIRRORED BOX + LAUNCH SHOW

Melbourne alternative rockers, Jumbo Mavis have today announced their endearing new single Everything Comes Around, an ode to those in hardship, out April 6. Everything Comes Around is the latest offering from Jumbo Mavis’ debut EP Big Mirrored Box, set for release on April 20 and will be showcasing their new material at Melbourne’s Workers Club on April 24.  

Everything Comes Around sees a dynamic shift towards a greater synth presence, while allowing for the charismatic melodies to be the central driver of the gripping narrative. Guitarist David Ross further explains “Everything Comes Around grew from me trying to write a darker, synth driven track to give the EP a different colour. I sent a demo backing track to Woody with a rough idea of what the chorus melody would be, which he sent back on his phone singing and the second verse totally knocked my socks off!”

Everything Comes Around only tells part of the story within Big Mirrored Box. Written and produced by the duo themselves and mastered by Adam Dempsey (The Cactus Channel), each of the tracks cross the genres of folk and alternative rock in their own unique way. Bloodstream slaps you in the face from the get go with the distorted guitar combining with the enthralling horns. Atlas Habitat is quite the fast-paced journey courtesy of the driving percussion within. With You Now moves in a more Australiana direction, with the five track EP rounding out with the acoustic soother Two Of A Kind.

To celebrate this release, Jumbo Mavis are setting their sights on The Workers Club in Melbourne on April 24th (ANZAC Day Eve) for a massive launch party. Performing with their live band, lead singer Woody Pitney provides an insight into what fans will see at the show “We will play all the songs from the EP plus some others to ensure everyone is getting amongst the party vibe!”

Everything Comes Around will be available on April 6 and Big Mirrored Box is set for release on April 20.
