A QUICK CHAT WITH NYNE

Naive has such a smooth and late-night vibe. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the track and how the creative process unfolded?
Thank you ! Iβm so proud of the writing on this one.
I initially had a session with Cam Bluff and brought in a very very rough ugly sounding dancehall song .. This man worked his magic and made it sound like the song of the summer !
I sent it across to Allday who just knows instantly where to take his melodies and anything he does. I loved how he added subtle backgrounds into the last hook as well, he never misses.
Lyrically, youβve said you wear your heart on your sleeve in Naive. What personal experiences or emotions did you channel while writing this song?
I do wear all my emotions very naturally close to the surface ! I canβt get away with anything and would be horrible at poker. I have my girlfriend's favourite number tattooed on my arm so I wear my heart on my sleeve very literally.
Naive has been in the works for a couple of years. What made now the right time to release it, and how ha the track evolved over that time?
Itβs crazy how things honestly come together naturally.. You canβt ever force anything and this was 10000% that.
Your previous collaborations, like Sides and Savage, have been massive hits. How do you think Naive builds on the momentum of those songs?
I think especially teaming back up with Allday after sides people know how high that bar was set .. So it instantly sets the stage for a certain quality and expectation we sound good together so I hope people love it !!!
Whatβs next for you after Naive? Can fans expect more new music, live shows, or any exciting collaborations in the near future?
I have a couple in the vault Iβm finishing and would LOVE !!!!!!!!!!! to get back on the road I will be having features on the next couple songs β¦. I will not attempt at hints because Iβm horrible at being subtle .. and if this song hits 100k streams allday will be choosing my next tattoo so most likely a bad tattoo coming soon as well.
