What’s next on the Psychobabel calendar?

Hi Pyschobabel! Congratulations on the release of ‘Chaotic Neutral’! Can you tell us a bit about what inspired the single?

Hey, thanks so much. The song is about fears and the inability to connect and feel human emotion. Leah collected a list of fears from different people in our lives and wrote them all into the song lyrically. The song itself is a little chaotic and as well as fears has themes of Dungeons and Dragons and video games like Skyrim and Dark Souls.

We heard that your discography follows the narrative of a fictional character, can you tell us a bit about that?

Lyrically it’s a conceptual story.  The songs are extreme version of Leah’s inner monologue. The character is every thought and feeling Leah’s ever had and the songs in a literal context are reflective her personal experiences. There is a bit more too it but generally the character is an overly sarcastic undead, possibly extra-terrestrial being who can’t die, feel or connect with humans.

What’s something that we might not know about Psychobabel?

Someone has made an Instagram account for Lee’s neck and we have no idea who it is. It’s @lees_thicc_neck if you wanna check it out.

What have been the highlights of your career so far?

We had the absolutely incredible time supporting Earthless last year on their Australian tour, which was insane and we are so stoked to have been able to play that show. We also got to play with Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes earlier this year, and that was a huge deal for us as big fans of them. That was a pretty amazing time.

What’s next on the Psychobabel calendar?

Looking forward to announcing some shows and hopefully able to drop more new music soon.
